Approx. 1,900 – 2,900 seeds per lb Heirloom 1890 96 Days, 8’ Stalk • 7” ear height • Creamy white shoepeg corn • Kernels zig and zag all over the cob with no regard to rows • Shoepeg speaks to the kernel shape, which is deep and narrow, like a wooden shoe peg from the 19th century • Tender and slender, with a longer roasting ear window than most heirlooms • Productive and multi-tillered with two ears, in fertile soil it can produce three large plants, so space 18-24” apart • Deep, deep kernels make it an excellent processing corn for your canning and freezing • Still used commercially for cream corn • Also has high-resistance to Smut for a non-hybrid sweet corn
