Welcome back! Hummert International is excited to host our 24th annual short course, The Educator’s Guide to Greenhouse Operations and Management, at our headquarters at 4500 Earth City Expressway, Earth City (St. Louis-area), Missouri 63045
, June 28 through June 30.
The three-day course will cover a variety of information related to helping you become a more effective agriculture educator and greenhouse manager/operator. Topics that will be discussed during this course include: Insect & Disease Control, Diagnosing Nutrient Deficiencies, Succulents, Greenhouse Production for a School Calendar, Greenhouse Equipment Overview & Maintenance, Propagating, Mum Production, Poinsettia Production, Spring Bedding Plants, Plant Health Management, Fertigation, and Teaching Curriculum & Labs.
This year will feature many hands-on course presentations both on- and off-site, with a full day hands on lab time in Hummert’s greenhouse, a tour of St. Louis’ booming professional ag scene and of course a day in class, with curriculum curated for you by long-time industry professionals. premier urban agriculture program. We will have plenty of time for Q & A with horticulture professionals to ensure you get the most out of your experience, too.
The course registration fee ($350 per attendee) covers course materials, catalogs/publications, meals/refreshments, tour fees, and chartered bus transportation. Transportation outside the scope of this course will be the responsibility of each attendee, as will lodging. All lunches (3) and dinners (2) are included.
