  • Excellent cold hardiness
  • The large easy to pick fruit is firm and is a beautiful crimson red finished by a bright shiny skin
  • Flesh is firm and highly aromatic
  • Flavor is excellent in light and medium organic soils
  • Has tart undertones that make the flavor profile excellent for dessert or canning, but the flavor can be too tart in heavy soils

  • Developed by USDA in Maryland this is by far the most prolific producer
  • Produces 3 pints per plant easily compared to the standard 1–2 pints per plant of a high yield rating
  • Produces firm glossy light red berries that are pink inside
  • Large size wedge shaped
  • Taste is sweet/tart
  • This type is chosen by many growers for its vigor, hardiness, and dependability
  • Retains flavor and firmness well making it an excellent fresh market berry
  • Develops runners freely, even under adverse conditions
  • Mid season producer
  • Pale seed
  • Good for fresh market, freezing, and canning
