Neonicotiniods
Description: Systemic insecticide taken up by roots and diffused through vascular system for protection up to 12 weeks
Labeled for: Greenhouse, nursery, and interiorscapes
Mode of action: Disrupts nerve transmission by nicotinic acetylcholine receptor agonists
Insects: Grubs, beetles, billbugs, chafer, chinch bugs, mole crickets, adelgids, aphids, black vine weevil, emerald ash borer, flathead borers, lace bugs, leaf beetles, leafhoppers, leafminers, mealybugs, psyllids, royal palm bugs, whiteflies, phylloxera, spittlebug, etc.
Precautions: Water-in for systemic action

Benefits: Can be mixed into horticulture substrates
Precautions: Woodies take two or more weeks longer than herbaceous plants for protection; high bark content substrate may reduce control
